Legends

13/11/2023 & 14/11/2023

There are mooing puffins and ghostly ponies this week in Risca Primary, as author Eloise Williams challenges years five and six to mine the darkest depths of their imaginations for the stories that will soon become their great legends of Risca.

Amidst exciting half-day workshops for each class, students have been busy drawing maps, building characters, creating weird and wacky monsters (yes a chickaroo is indeed what happens when a chicken and kangaroo meet) and becoming detectives for every tiny speck of detail that might make their stories glimmer. Eloise’s endless energy and electric enthusiasm has equipped each young storyteller with everything they might need to help their intrepid adventurers from beginning to end. But now it’s up to you Risca Primary. You have until the end of term to knock our socks off with your extraordinary tales, which we look forward to publishing in the new year.

Good luck!
